Thanks for stopping by to explore some of my work...
My Grandfather documented everything. Enamored by the the sound of film running through his camera I was enchanted with moving images as far back as I remember. Our travels across the Former Yugoslavia captured on 8mm film, we would gather at the end of the summer, project them on the wall and excitedly relive our adventures for friends and family back home. In that same tradition my parents brought home a camcorder when I was in 6th grade. I immediately started making movies with my neighborhood friends. We shot from sunrise to sunset, spending entire weekends planning and executing our vision. Super-Dork, The Godfather: Part 6, Lieutenant River, all made in the woods and quiet neighborhoods of shoreline Connecticut. We did everything: wrote stories, made costumes, shot, acted and directed - but we didn’t know how to finish them. That’s when I plugged the camcorder into the VCR and discovered editing. Painstakingly shuffling back and forth, carefully matching shots one by one, adding image after image from the camera to the VCR, I began to tell stories. I even grabbed the boom-box and added music. There, on the living room floor, surrounded by tapes and RCA cables, I fell in love with the magic of filmmaking and I've been doing it ever since.
